The Alphas is a spin-off of the Clique book series by Lisi Harrison. She is a ballet dancer and a jazz dancer, formerly at the Body Alive Dance Studio, which her parents own. Her mother is a former Russian Ballet prima ballerina, and gives her an old point shoe to keep her written hopes and dreams in. This eventually creats a problem when the other girls start to think Skye is spying for Shira. Her trademark would be her "dance sleeves". Before coming to Alpha Academy, she thought she was very talented, but after arriving, she realizes that she is not as talented as she thought she was, to the point where she almost left the school after injuring her ankle. Allie A. Abbott: Allie was actually sent an acceptance letter by mistake - it was meant for a singer named Allie J. Abbott. However, she had just caught her best friend kissing Allie's boyfriend, so she goes to great lengths to hide her secret. At the end of the first book, her secret is revealed to everyone (when the real Allie J. Abbott shows up), but is still allowed to stay at the Academy. She is currently in the acting program. One of Allie A's nervous habits is her excessive use of Purell. Charlie Deery: The daughter of Shira Brazille's former assistant, she grew up with all the Brazille boys but was born in New Jersey. She is an inventor, and designed parts of Alpha Island without the knowledge of Shira. The summer before being accepted into the Alpha Academy's inventing program, she was forced to break up with Shira's son Darwin, although they have known each other since they were very young. She spends a large amount of the first three books trying to win him back (despite Shira's warning to stay away from her son). Shira Brazille: Shira is the owner of Alpha Academy. She has five sons, and is world-famous for Brazille Enterprises. However, she also seems to be quite mean, having forbidden her assistant's daughter Charlie from dating her son Darwin. Darwin Brazille: Shira Brazille's third son. He and Charlie were dating before the start of the series. He tries to move on from Charlie's breakup with him by dating Allie A. Abbott. However, by the end of the fourth book, he is back with Charlie. The Other Brazille Boys: Darwin's brothers, Taz, Sydney, Melbourne, and Dingo. Shira has forbidden any of the students at Alpha Academy from dating her sons; however, she eventually relents. Allie J. Abbott: Allie J is a singer, songwriter, and environmentalist.
